Our Direwolf Burger of T.V. Fame

AS SEEN Chef Michael Symon’s Cooking Channel show, “Burgers, Brew & ‘Cue,” stopped by The Attic Ale House for an episode called “Beastly Burgers.” Symon checks out the Arcadia gastropub’s colossal Dire Wolf burger.

Owners Cary and Ivan Morrow say they were surprised to get a call from the show’s production company.

“It was supposed to be a one-time burger. Somehow, they caught wind of it and asked us to do it for the show,” said Cary Morrow.

The half-pound burger is made with slow-roasted pork belly and house-smoked pulled pork, applewood bacon, ancho chili smoked stout barbecue sauce, crispy onion rings and spicy beer mustard. It’s served on a toasted pretzel bun and skewered with a bacon-wrapped white Cheddar jalapeño popper.

“It’s one of those things that people just love to take pictures of. It’s a meat overload burger, but it’s really tasty too,” said Ivan Morrow, who debuted the burger special at the restaurant’s Super Bowl party.

The show: Aired at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018, on Cooking Channel.
